Conference Interpreting

Bild Claudia KrügerYou might be wondering now what working with sound, mental training and conference interpreting have to do with each other. I can assure you that they have a great deal in common.
Communication occurs on all levels.

And "translation problems" can crop up anywhere. Between people (speaking different languages), between what people say and what their body language conveys, between body and spirit, between what we imagine and reality.

Translating a foreign language means much more than simply understanding the words. To really create understanding between people who can't communicate directly involves considering the particular situation, the moods of the people who wish to communicate and what they are trying to achieve by meeting.

For me, putting these insights into practice is "interpreting". On all levels.

Don't start off on the wrong foot with foreign business partners by agreeing to negotiate in a foreign language. Interesting topics and fabulous speakers you invite to an international conference won't make it a success if participants can't communicate with ease with others who don't speak their language.

I offer the following range of services:

Simultaneous interpretation - e.g. at conferences, congresses, seminars etc.

Consecutive interpretation - e.g. speeches at dinners or other official ceremonies, negotiations etc.

Advice to conference organisers - e.g. putting together a team of interpreters, planning the schedule and choosing appropriate interpretation equipment etc.

Translation - e.g.. contracts, press releases, specialist articles etc.

As an expert in communication, who is also conversant with the challenges of conference interpreting, I help you achieve your goals.
